Introduction
Pocket digital camera used to photograph the land was used, this time Canon Waterproof camera latest issue that can be used to take pictures under water without having to use a waterproof casing. Canon EOS D10 can be used up to a depth of 10 meters under water and this is the first digital pocket camera from Canon that is used under water.
Photography under water is rarely discussed during this and Canon may see a new art of photography under the water therefore creating Canon D10. Nikon D10 is not like other Waterproof camera where to use a waterproof casing that can be used under water. D10 was deliberately created in such a way that can be used under water without the need to use a waterproof casing.
When compared with the camera design class size D10 of course looks much bigger and looks a bit "Fat" on the front. This is intended to allow the water can not enter into the lens D10. Also waterproof, D10 is also resistant to dust and strong shocks.
Design and Design
D10 is equipped with 3x optical zoom lens image stabilization (a distance of 35mm-105mm) and Canon's DIGIC processor from Canon's fourth generation combined with 1/2.3-inchi sized CCD sensor that can produce images up to 12.1 megapixel resolution. D10 can also be used to perform recording at 30 fps VGA resolution (640x480 pixels).
First time using the D10 was confusing because there are many camera settings button and we do not shape makes it easy to hold the camera during a photo shoot. Design D10 button keypad design looks like any other Canon camera which is easy to use.
When we were accustomed to use it, was using D10 was very easy as using other Canon digital cameras. At the top of the screen there are three buttons, there is first a function button to select and print via PictBridge, the Mode button (useful to select the Auto mode, Program, 18 Scene modes, or movie mode), and the last button is useful for playback see photos that have been produced. Although designed for use under water but the D10 can be used well above the water when we tried it.
At the top left and right there is a hole D10 serve to hang the camera strap.
Menu and Mode
EOS D10 is equipped with the best features of its kind. To navigate the menu and the camera mode is very easy when we were testing.

Menu and Mode
EOS D10 is equipped with the best features of its kind. To navigate the menu and the camera mode is very easy when we were testing.
To select the mode you can use the D-pad are the four directions on the back of the D10 and func button which allows you to access the features embodied in the camera mode such as exposure compensation, WB, sensitivity, My Colors, flash, macro mode, metering , drive mode, and resolution.
Below are embodied in the fashion D10:
• Auto: Almost all done by the camera settings
• Smart Auto: The camera do automatic scene settings
• Program: Auto exposure set by the user (such as sensitivity, white balance, etc..)
• Scene: Portrait, Landscape, Night Scene, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Sunset, Fireworks, Aquarium, Underwater, ISO 3200, the Long Shutter, Indoor, Kids & Pets, Night Snapshot, Color Accent, Color Swap, Stitch Assist
• Movie: D10 can be used to make a video recording resolution up to 640x480 pixels @ 30 fps with a maximum duration for 1 hour.
Screen / Viewfinder
Just like other digital pocket camera, D10 is equipped with a screen that functions as a viewfinder. On the back of the D10 is the LCD screen measuring 2.5 inch (230.000 pixels). D10 is not equipped with a viewfinder hole because not well liked by most people. LCD screens make it easier taking photos and navigation menu under the water than the hole viewfinder.
LCD screen can be used well when we did shoot under water. The level of light on the LCD is automatically set by the camera according to the light conditions around you.
Performance
After the photos, the camera speed is the second most important part on the camera. D10 takes 1 second to turn on the camera.

What price is it? ...

Performance Snapshots
Although the D10 is designed to be used properly under the water was the result of water above the D10 images look good as the other Canon cameras. DIGIC IV processor usage on the D10 allows you to perform automatic exposure settings on the D10. Besides these processors can also work to process images faster than other digital cameras.
Using a Canon D10 battery NB-6L 3.7V 1000mAh lithium rechargeable if discharged. Nikon D10 claims batery can last for image capture 220 times as much. When we did test, D10 battery can only last up to 241 times taking photographs
For flash settings there are several flash modes like Auto pangaturan (only when the poor light conditions), On (always on when photographed), Red-Eye Reduction, Red-Eye Correction, Slow Sync, and Off. Flash lamps can be used effectively up to 10 feet distance from the camera.
To take pictures you can use a 9-point AiAF (Advanced Intelligent Auto Focus) TTL Contrast Detection. 9 point focus is useful to focus on objects that you take.
To reduce the image so as not to blur, Canon's Optical Image Stabilization invested. Image Stabilization System allows you to make arrangements to shutter speeds. Image stabilization was very useful when we use the D10 to photograph the light conditions are poor.
Lens Performance
D10 using a 6.2mm-18.6mm lens f/2.8-f/4.9 (a distance of 35mm-105mm) 3x zoom. Macro mode can take the closest distance of 1.2 inches / 3 cm from the camera. Zoom-in quite quickly and feels smooth, without a voice.
Quality Video
In addition to shooting you can do can make a video recording resolution VGA (640 x 480 pixels) with 30fps speed. We really liked the video recording under the water because we never pass up a video recording under water before. Unfortunately D10 can not zoom-in when doing the video recording and can not be used to record audio.
Quality Images
D10 image results did not look like the photo other Canon digital cameras. Result images look bright and natural color. Color images look accurate results with the original colors.
At the center of the image looks good, although using wide-angle and zoom-ins with the maximum level. When using a telephoto zoom-in with maximum results visible image noise at the corner of the image but still acceptable.
Overall picture looks good results in the shooting in good light conditions.
Auto white balance setting looks quite a lot of options such as Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Fluorescent H, Underwater, and Custom WB.
There is no problem is too annoying when using the D10. Nikon D10 is not alone in the classroom Waterproof camera, D10 to compete with the Waterproof Olympus camera that has many variants Waterproof camera. Canon big names will participate boost sales even though it seems Nikon D10 is still in trial stages in the manufacture Waterproof camera.
